Another Demons Day has come and gone. This year was a great day of hockey for all of our teams. The day started with IP and ended with Midget. The whole time there were kids smiling on and off the ice and that’s what it’s all about.
The food drive for Community Food Share was bigger this year than last. Many thanks go out to Fran Beach our Referee Scheduler for organizing the food drive portion. In the end 1477 points were awarded in total consisting of $606.95 and 871 food items. The contributions made by all NDMHA players and families is greatly appreciated by Community Food Share. South Dundas will certainly have their work cut out for them in February during Lions Day. The winning team was Atom House B with 227 points. They will receive an hour of ice of their choosing.
NDMHA had two students that offered to help our Executive members during Demons Day. Well done Megan Thompson and Kelly Forrester for being part of Demons Day. It’s wonderful to see the next generation of volunteers have a sense of community.
Congratulations to Jacob Guy and Julie Bradley, they were the lucky winners of the Chuck A Puck contests. I am told they were quite excited with their big wins.
